Land-Based Learning at Elizabeth School

On May 23rd, as part of Land-Based Learning, Elizabeth School CTF/Métis Culture students learned about fish filleting. Eugene Jenson, a member of the Elizabeth Métis Settlement,  demonstrated how to prepare and fillet three different types of fish native to the area; lake trout, jackfish, and whitefish. He also showed the students how to prepare whitefish to be smoked the old fashioned way.
